bunk window leak - slowpoke - 09-01-2016

spring time bunk window was leaking steady stream from top of window pouring into interior. dealer said very expensive to fix. went to home depo bought 1/2 inch round grey window foam (foam window backer rod) used a small bout 3/4 inch plastic putty knife slowly worked it into gap kind of roll it in just behind glass. it stopped the leak been 5 months now, I noticed that if I need to I could push it in farther and seal interior seal as well. window still opens fine, cause I forgot about it and been using that window. winter I may not try to open, it may freeze.

Yes. I bought some silicone caulk and a long skinny tube and put the caulk behind the inner seal. No leaks now for months even after a blue beacon wash.
