Cam wear - Mrkentee - 02-20-2023 CM871 with 1.361 million miles on original cams. A couple of lobes are looking dull. Keep running it, or start making plans to replace. I’d rather be pre-emptive than wait for a failure. [attachment=8792][attachment=8793][attachment=8794] RE: Cam wear - RollinCoal - 02-20-2023 Is there any ridge forming? Getting set up with Haggai. RE: Cam wear - juicefromaus - 02-20-2023 Great advice. Pulled both of mine today with over 1.22 million on them. Never been touched and everthing looks real good but the Injector cam is going to be replaced. Thak you. RE: Cam wear - Rawze - 02-21-2023 Sounds about right for lifespan when the engine is properly cared for. Mine made it 1.34 million before one of the lobes finally started etching. I replaced everything all at once ... cams, rockers, rocker-shafts, everything on both sides, etc. |
