Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - sbtrucking - 09-26-2016 Have isx with 10 speed autoshift on 2012 cascadia, It gets stuck in 10th gear and does not downshift in auto or manual mode, need to stop turn the engine off restart and goes back to normal, it did this 3 times last week within 5+k miles. Anyone experiencing same problem or knows what can couse this? Wouldn't go into gear, transmission would beep at me, also got stuck in 10th. It was the input shaft sensor located on the top of the transmission. We had to break it apart and take it out piece by piece a bear to take out. I was told to disconnect batteries for 15 minutes, that did not work. Hope this helps. RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - hhow55 - 09-26-2016 Friend of mine had problem like your's. He ended up with a large tow bill, and yes it was a sensor on top of tranny. Get to a repair shop, quickly. RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - Brock - 09-26-2016 I had the same issue. Shop replaced the sensor on top rear of transmission as it was covered in oil and replaced the entire shift assembly and it helped a bit. What finished the job was a software update, although of course the shop swore the update wouldn't have helped without replacing everything else.... RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - sbtrucking - 09-26-2016 Where on top of the transmission is this sensor located? RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - Kiroisx - 09-26-2016 Is it auto shift with a clutch pedal?. If so there are three sensors all the same like 50$ each. Change all three you should be fine. Could be the x y shifters that's more expensive. And last the wire harness. RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - sbtrucking - 09-26-2016 no clutch pedal, forgot to mention it beeps and shows F on the gear display RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - sbtrucking - 09-26-2016 is there way to read fault codes? will inline 5 read codes or work with Eaton software? RE: Autoshift gets stuck in 10 gear - Brock - 09-26-2016 Of there is no clutch then it's a ultrashit isn't it? Update software before wasting any money. Probably won't help but cannot hurt. |
