After deleting my cm871 cpl 2732 - Zeus818 - 12-20-2024

I have two questions you gurus can answer or help me out with! So to start, I have a isx 450hp cm871 cpl 2732. I got deleted and tuned to 525 @ 1850 ft-lbs which is what mechanic suggested as long as I’m not flooring with heavy loads. I read that max power for my engine is 475bhp @ 1750 ft-lbs after doing research about my engine. Will my motor go kaboom or is it okay where it’s currently tuned to? Am I risking anything severe?
Second minor question is, I have a blow by smell but no physical blow by. I consume about half to a 1gal of oil every 10k miles. No oil dripping, just smell but no visible blow by. Just wanted to know if normal or not? If not, what should I expect?

525 horsepower will not hurt you at all, what hurts you is torque. As long as he didn’t go stupid with torque, your file is indeed a 525 horsepower and not labeled as a 525 that’s actually set to make 800hp with 2250 ft lbs of torque as most shi#t tunes we find are, your tune is actually good which is very rare you will be fine. This is just from my experience and what I see with them. Some people may have different opinions. But You can make 525hp with a file that’s still set to make 1750 torque, 525hp at 1850 rpm calculates to 1490 ft lbs of torque at that point so the entire map needs to be checked to see what it’s actually requesting at every rpm. So until your tune is officially checked by someone that’s honest and knows what’s going on there is actually no way to know if you are safe or not.

A 50 horse increase isn't excessive and as long as your not lugging it down below 1500 rpm you'll be fine......BUT........you really need to have this program looked at by Rawze to make sure it isn't harmful in other ways, ie. advanced timing, no mode control, turbo not mapped correctly, etc. If you need help copying the program out to send to Rawze let me know I'll help you for free.

Could be many reasons to be using oil like you mentioned. How many miles are on it?

if you have not had that program reviewed by myself or by bengy88, rollincolal, or running rough .. then that needs to be done to ensure it is not harmful to the engine.

if it needs to be reviewed, then copy it from the ecm and e-mail it to me .. i will tell you exactly what someone did in there.
