Can I change the compressor wheel on my turbo without issue?? I know that there are balanced. I screwed up. My compressor housing clamp broke. So I was taking the compressor housing off to get the clamp off, I let the housing slip and I damaged three blades. I’m just wondering if I can safely replace the wheel on my own without sending turbo off. Or if I’m in for a turbo replacement because of my carelessness and stupidity.

Nope you can't fix that yourself. They are balanced at extremely high speeds. You need very specialized equipment and knowledge to do such things.

Ya know that’s what I figured. But I just thought I’d ask. I’ve been beating myself up All day and night for this mistake. Thank you for your reply. I knew better was just looking for an out.
