CM 871 demandate corrections - RickyBobby - 01-16-2025

Hey guys just wanted to start by thanking everyone who contributes on this forum, I've learned a lot the past few weeks reading on here about these motors and the do's and don'ts.

I bought a International 9900i about 8 months ago with a remanned CM 871 that had about 40k miles on it, around 80k now, truck runs good and hasn't caused me any major issues so far, I knew it had been demandated and thought it all looked nice and clean and had been done correctly. After reading on here though I noticed the egr cooler delete was not done correctly. They just blocked off both ports.

I remember reading on here about the coolant flow to the back of the motor through the egr cooler and rawze posting a pdf to a quick serve page with cummins parts numbers for the egr cooler bypass parts, can anyone confirm that those parts will work or is there a aftermarket kit that is better to go with?

I'm sure I need to get someone on here to check out the tune as well but I could use some help getting insite/calterm going and getting the right parts ordered for the egr cooler bypass before it causes any more harm than it already has.

Thanks for any help guys, it is much appreciated.

as far as coolant flow.. yes, it needs to be restored. There are various cooler bypass kits, some with plates and hoses, some hard pipes,. that are found on the interwebs. I have seen kits like that on ebay.
