Rear locker control international - Yauchout - 01-19-2025 I am looking at adding a locking differential to my lonestar does anybody on here know if the control can easily be added to the six pack switches on the dash through the body controller using diamond logic before I waste money on diamond builder logic or am I better off to add a manual air switch RE: Rear locker control international - DVT873 - 01-19-2025 Yauchout. Short answer, add a manual air switch especially if you are the only driver. The main advantage of using Diamond Logic (DL) is that it will disengage it above a certain road speed. If you use DL you will need to add an air solenoid, usually on the board that has the suspension dump and 5th wheel unlock solenoids. You will also need to find and activate the feature code for the diff lock. Also if you have blanks on you 6 pack you need to pop the cover off and see if there are micro switches under that cover. Pop an actuator out of a position being used and you will see what I mean. Early on a six pack had 6 live positions. Then they realized people were adding features for "free". They started limiting the positions. I assume you mean an actual locking differential. You should already have a power divider lock switch. RE: Rear locker control international - Yauchout - 01-19-2025 Yeah it definitely has micro switches under the blank and I knew I was going to have to add an air solenoid. I just wasn't sure how easy it would be or if at all possible to turn that feature on or off in DL I was trying to avoid running airlines all the way in the cab for it RE: Rear locker control international - DVT873 - 01-19-2025 Well you could still use a solenoid, like a fan clutch solenoid put a switch in the cab and just run wires to it. If you post the VIN, I can look at your features, see which one to turn on, and make sure it is there already. |
