Air Compressor Head - Signature620 - 10-10-2016 Hi, could somebody please explain the purpose of this cut-out in the compressor heads? I'm getting air from it while checking for boost leaks. Thanks. RE: Air Compressor Head - Rawze - 10-11-2016 I don't know what it is for, but it is not supposed to be creating a boost leak. RE: Air Compressor Head - donaldray - 10-11-2016 Looks like a WAB61W17CH2,CYLINDER HEAD, WABC0 85MM, ISX 9111539212, to me. Could I be dealing with a sticky unloader valve or a bad compressor head gasket? RE: Air Compressor Head - Hedley - 10-11-2016 or a soot clogged air line. RE: Air Compressor Head - hhow55 - 10-12-2016 I recall gearhead telling me, that soot can also accumulate in the air tank's as well. The air tank's can become so contaminated with soot , that eventually the truck has no air for the brake's to function . This may be of help to other's. RE: Air Compressor Head - Signature620 - 10-13-2016 No sign of carbon build-up. I forgot to mention this is a CM570. |
