Cm871 downloading an Aussie file - DavidG379 - 01-29-2025 I was wondering anyone could tell me if I can install an Aussie file on my cm871 to demandate the exhaust filter or any other recommendations. Thanks in advance! RE: Cm871 downloading an Aussie file - tree98 - 01-29-2025 An aussie file would do you no good, they have emmission regulations there too. You need custom programming to do what your looking to do. The known safe demandate overlay for the CM871 is free if you know where to look. No .. it is not that simple. Nor is your idea unique in any way. People have been blindly trying to use those files incorrectly since the mid 2000's when that engine first came out. This, only to eventually regret it, and learn the hard way, that you cannot do crap like that because the application and hardware is not the same in those engines. Those Aussie and mexico files belong to a different set of hardware all together. When looking at them is detail vs other CM871 files, they require different compression ratio pistons, usually different injectors, different charge/air flow requirements, etc.etc. I.E.> Mexican and Aussie files are specifically meant for Mexican and Aussie CPL builds, and matching Mexican/Aussie vehicle requirements too. Looking at the changes in the programming itself vs. USA and others it is clear right away that they are not compatible with the internals of the engine itself, right along side the missing or disabled after-treatment settings. They shorten the life of USA engines when some moron tries to use them because they did not know any better, ... and then wonder why they have repeating head gasket and other issues. RE: Cm871 downloading an Aussie file - tree98 - 01-30-2025 Do we know why cummins makes engines with such differences for use in those countries? Seems like a lot of effort for no reason. RE: Cm871 downloading an Aussie file - DavidG379 - 01-30-2025 So what would be the best way to get rid of just the d p f and leave everything else alone? RE: Cm871 downloading an Aussie file - tree98 - 01-30-2025 Why would you want to do that? Why wouldn't you want to disable all of it??
