Replacement hoses for Cat's Eye
Quick question for anyone who might know. One of the hoses for my Cat's Eye duel tire equalisation thing broke today right on the swivel section of the hose fitting. Trying to find a replacement hose locally or on Amazon with little luck. One place online has it but it's a week out and the price isn't pretty, might as well just buy an entire new unit since the other hose is probably in a similar condition and I'll have a spare. Of course they are only sold in 2 or 4 packs and even a new unit is a week out. The hose connection looks different compared to the crossfire so can't use that as a potential source.

Only thing I've found do far on Amazon are valve stem extensions, but they don't appear to have the correct connection for the unit end. Even the tire inflation system on my trailer has a different connection, so that's not a viable path to follow. At this time on a Friday it's too late to go browsing around the local stores, Napa, Fleet Pride, etc...

I'll probably order a new package of Cat's Eye, but it would be nice to have at least a temporary hose solution while I drive around for the next week until it comes in. One side of the hose connects to the shrader valve, but the other side appears to be 1/4" npt, or something similar.

It's the 180 degree connection for the outside tire, in case that makes a difference.

RE: Replacement hoses for Cat's Eye
I always had to carry a set of spares on the truck for when they got leaky on me.

my opinion on such things...

RE: Replacement hoses for Cat's Eye
Yeah, it was mostly my fault why it broke and you're right, I should have had at least one spare of each style (straight and 180). I can drive fine without it, but I've become so accustomed to having them there that I don't WANT to drive without. Same goes for my TPMS, not strictly needed, but would rather have it than not. There doesn't appear to be anything proprietary about these hoses, it's just I don't seem to know the right key words to search for.
