Front idler gear bearing spun. x15
Had a truck in for front timing cover leak. X15 performance. 550k miles ish. It had a rattle i didn't like when it came in. Would go away when above 800 rpm.

Took off rockers, Open up cover and relaxed scissor gear. Idle gear above scissor spun bearing. scissor and idler adjust are silky fitted and bearings look perfect. There was No Play in idler to camshaft.

I think it was sent out with basically 0 clearance in the camshaft to adjust to idler from cummins. Idler bearing took a beaten. Not completely sure. But adjuster was tight to camshaft gear.

All teeth are perfect on all gear. Of course new idler and associated parts.

Engine never had front gear cover taken off before. First time.
