| Dealer Alternator Bought alternator at the international dealer and the lower regulator stud came out. While I was putting it on I noticed it wasn’t stable, like have play side to side but didn’t think much of it. I think it was a returned product they sold me because the box was in rough shape and taped up. Of course they didn’t take it back because as you know no returns on electrical parts. I saw my voltage gauge went up 15.5 volts when idling immediately shut truck off and went to check the post, I didn’t a little tug on it and accidentally yanked it out, shows how bad it was. It’s brand new too not rebuilt. I’m thinking of finding a shop that rebuilds alternators and starters to pull it apart and solder it back in place. Good idea or nah? | |||
