Dash computer gauges/ELD loss of communication

Hi I was wondering if anyone would have some knowledge on where the problem might be when only the gauges in the computer screen in the dash quit working and when that happens the ELD also loses connection and stops working. This problem is completely intermittent and doesn’t seem to have any pattern. All the dash gauges work but for some reason the ones in the computer screen quit, they come back on and go off all day long not a big deal except it’s messing with the elog at the same time. This is a 2014 Peterbilt 389 with an ISX Cummins CM2350. Thanks any help is appreciated!

maybe check the j1939 system for shorts, open connections, etc... or a third-party device that is interfering with communications.
