| Using insite to check over heat history is it possible to check over heat history of a motor using cummins insite, back story im looking to buy a truck with a cummins pref a x15 but i want to see if it was abused or not. secondly, is there ways of checking abuse ? | |||

| RE: Using insite to check over heat history Yes, there is a record of abuse history... I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) it is actually labeled as an abuse history tab. It's been a few years since I looked for it, but it's a pretty good quick insight to how many times events have occurred as well as how long those said parameters were in different levels of severity. Actually breaks it down into hrs, min, and sec. You could post a snap shot of the history here for a better idea of what the engine may have went through. Would also give you an idea of how the truck was treated. | |||

| RE: Using insite to check over heat history It's been awhile since I opened Insite, but I remember being able to see how long the engine was ran at different rpms. That is one thing that stood out to me the few times I used it. Thought it was good useful info to see. | |||
