RE: ISX? Years (12-31-2020 )GAguy912 Wrote: So what years have the Common rail injection..........? 2011 was the year they were supposed to be switched over due to 2010 emissions standards, however there were many trucks in 2011 build on E.P.A. credits with the older CM871's (Twin cam) in them. I.E.> in 2011, some were CM871's (Twin cam) and some were CM2250's (Common rail, single cam). If you see a DEF tank on the drivers side, it is a single cam common rail engine, and if there is only a DPF and no DEF tank.. it is the older CM871. My own truck is a 2011 model and it has the older CM871 in it (built on EPA credits). Many other people I have met with 2011 trucks however have the common rail CM2250's in them. I have not yet seen a genuine 2013 or newer model truck with the older (CM871) engine however. maybe that clears some of it up.
