The stealers$it likely did what they typically do. They probably re-flashed it with the program that belongs to that ser# engine?.

So I can confirm that trying to reflash back the file out of the ECM with CalTerm 5.16, it failed and left the ECM in rom boot state.
Good news is that using Calterm 3.17 and the official Cummins Incal file, I was able to reflash it well, no issues.

I feel electronics look to work normal now : Correct Temporization on the Lift Pump, Fuel getting out of the Injectors Control Valve at a regular pace when cranking. All the ECM Advanced Features working from Insite OK, etc. Only one Active error 268 from last time it started did not get away, but I am hopeful it will once it starts.

It won't start yet but situation improved after bleeding air from 3 injectors nozzles (more white smoke when cranking, nearly starting). I will try to continue bleeding air from the return tube banjo soon, as clearly the bleeding is not "automatic" thanks to the lift pump as per the book.
