RE: Gear / Tranny Oil Changed my transmission and rear ends today. Used 80w90 GL-5 in all three. About $45 a bucket at local oil and fuel distributor. Transmission had fine metal shavings on drain plug. Rear ends had larger metal shavings. Didn't see anything to be worried about. Hopefully can get lots more miles out of them.
