2024 x15 ticking at 1400 rpm

Ok so I got the scanner played with it a bit and did the leak down test didn't seem to affect much however the truck wasn't actin up at the time either. Did the test twice once showed 28910 next showed max press at 29100.
There was the normal ticking from the injection pump but this fuel knock or something is different seems very one injector kinda noise.

It could be an injector, do a cylinder cut out test.

I would also say to inspect the overhead cam too for lobe wear/damage + do an overhead cam adjustment while your in there too.

I agree with rawze. A lot of the ticking complaints we've seen have been the cam lobes starting to go.

I sure hope a brand new truck with only 3k km on it doesn't have cam wear.

Ok, so the fuel pressure is good @
>30000, im struggling with quickserv and how to get the proper specs. I noticed the noise at 3 or under 3ks it now has 12ks but 450 engine hours. I will try the cutout test tomorrow but it would it only be effective if I can verify the noise is happening at that time I do the test. It isn't coming and going necessarily just not as pronounced. I hear it so much its almost becoming normal.... and then it starts tacking away and I think, wow that is a shi#t noise. Do I need to do any more tests before opening up the the top end, any special tools. I would love a way to verify a cylinder, specifically, with a stethoscope beforehand so I can confirm an issue or at least make it easier to verify.
