I would trust statements like that from an OEM about as far as I can throw my truck.

you need to find out exactly what program that engine sert# calls for. And you also need to find out exactly what program was shoved into your ecm.. and then have a comprehensive comparison done to ensure they are actually 100% compatible.

Has anyone looked at fueling actuators on this?
Check for wet harness on ifsm isolate front 3 cylinders and rear three etc on insite.
Very common and easy for anyone to check.

This update is within the last few months, they do fail without outright saying it's broke. Either this is your issue or your exhaust and boost pressure sensors are failing "in range".

whats the part # for the upfit kit?

That is a long-block generic ser#. It is not searchable on quickserv to see what program belongs in it. - What is the CPL on the engines current data-plate.. and what is the VIN# for the vehicle?.

Yes thats just what the tag says. and the previous engine tag was gone so had no info from that.

current engine CPL is 8520

hopefully this helps. need to replace the air control valve still. Im not opposed to putting in a safer tune back into the truck. not looking for high power, looking for longevity and driveability. For some reason this is the jerkiest least smooth truck ive ever driven. And has been since before the longblock, before the tune from running rough, before the now to oem 550 tune.

Thanks for posting the TSB.

I went looking in QuickServe (Free subscription) for that TSB or the Installation Note 5414744 to see the part number for what I assume to be the upfit kit containing the cable to convert the existing cable to the connector on the new part. I was unable to find either one.

I also looked on parts.cummins.com and they still list 3770742 with no mention of the replacement part number or TSB.

Are the TSB's and Installation Notes only available with a paid subscription to Quickserve?

Can you please get a copy of Installation Note 5414744?

Do you know who makes the Cummins Part? I would expect if Cummins specified it, it would have a matching connector to the original one.
