2385 vgt code

My dad's 870 is throwing 2385 - vgt actuator driver circuit. Voltage above normal or shorted to high source. It threw this code 16 times at 900 rpm idle doesn't do it at normal idle or 1100rpm idle also doesn't do it driving... So what's going on?

More than likely it's bad wiring somewhere going to the VGT control module. The red box under the air compressor. Those wires take quite a beating from wind and debris. Plus oil leaks dripping down them. Cut the harness loose and physically look for broken/shorted wires.

900 rpms is probably the lucky harmonic tone for the wire to short or break connection.
