2009 kw t660
Okay, I know this will sound like a rookie question but bare with me. I cannot for the life of me find the location of my starter relay on this thing. Truck will not crank with the key, but will start up when I jump the starter solenoid. Dug into ecat and found my starter relay should be in the middle of the firewall, but it is not there. Looked in the fuse box by the clutch pedal in the cab, and there is nothing related to starter. No fuse box near firewall. Checked behind the dash, glove compartment, and battery box for any fuses/relays relating to the starter. Is this some weird thing where the starter is controlled by the ecm? There is 12v directly out of the ignition switch when I crank the key, but nothing at the starter.

I've seen it mentioned for Peterbilt of the same era, not sure if the 660 has the same relay panel behind the center dash/steering wheel, but may be a starter interrupt relay causing your issue. There's "starter interrupt bypass" relay available if so. Should be mapped out on the fuse panel schematic sticker.

When i owned mine the starter relay was mounted on the firewall under the hood, in the center above top of engine.

According to the paccar diagrams it should be there. I can see there is 2 huck rivets there for it, but it is not there. This thing is kinda kicking my ass...

RE: 2009 kw t660

Sorry, been a few days since I gave an update. I did find it was actually located ON the starter. Tucked to the block side, so was unable to actually see it without knowing it was there. Anywho, I found that my issue was in the oem harness. Ran an overlay and we're back truckin!

If you know the spot where it went bad, can you post a pic or 2 of where that was?... maybe it helps someone in the future.

thats the issue lol, I wasn't able to find it. I did know about a 10 foot span of where it went wrong, so I was able to run my overlay from there.
