cummins isx injector Is there anyway to tell if an injector has been rebuilt? should you be able to see the holes were it sprays the fuel into the cylinder? I only got one out so far because I ran out of daylight in the barn lol thanks | |||

RE: cummins isx injector Depending on the injector there are 5 or 6 holes. It's important to make sure the one you replace it with has the same number of holes otherwise the spray pattern will be off. | |||

RE: cummins isx injector Yes, there are different size injectors for ISx. Make sure you go back with the SAME SIZE. Don't do something stupid like trying to up-size them or something. It will throw everything in the engine off including injection timing unless you do a complete custom tune the ECM for it and make all the dozens of corrections. It also looks like that injector has suffered some reflected heat in the exhaust at some point. just my own thoughts on it any ways.
