What's in your TOOLBOX? What are some of the unusual but useful things in your Toolbox or parts box? I have this assortment of corks and some Tough Duck Tape to patch a fuel tank hole or leak http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ES3UE9C/ Got this after I picked up a reefer trailer with + shaped hole stabbed in the reefer fuel tank. Load was junk, $158,000 loss, and a $8,500 Hazmat Cleanup fee for the diesel spill.

RE: What's in your TOOLBOX? I am trying to find a great tool organization system for taking the tools on the truck, yet easy enough grab and take under the truck. Problem I have with most socket organizers is they dont have enough spaces for a COMPLETE SET of tools...like missing a 1/2" drive 10mm space. The socket rails work, but I am wondering if someone has a better idea. I have considered making a plastic case that has a spot for everything, but those seem very difficult to make in the home garage. Would be easy with clay, then bake...but too heavy. Maybe wrap sockets in plastic wrap, apply a wax to the plastic so it wont bond to...say fiberglass. If you think you have a good idea, or a way to improve one of the existing ideas please share. For Wrenches I like the wrench organizers, or a piece of solid copper house wiring in a circle like a key chain. Ideally, I would only have sockets that fit the bolts and nuts in my truck and trailer, a combo rail of SAE & Metric, but who knows every socket size needed...unless they have years of mechanic experience and truly the master.

RE: What's in your TOOLBOX? Found this Navistar Document about Frame Fasteners etc. Huck bolts are unfamiliar to some of us, but there is a good write-up on them here http://bodybuilder.navistar.com/general/...frames.pdf

RE: What's in your TOOLBOX? Every truck needs at least TWO of these Needle Nose Vice grips! http://www.amazon.com/Tools-VISE-GRIP-Lo...vice+grips They come in all sizes, usually can be had for $5 at most hardware stores for the four inch ones... I have used these all over the truck, from blown heater hoses to limp to a shop, to blown seat air lines when they get eaten away by the scissor mechanism in the air ride seats. I carry four on the truck, and had two of them in operation the other night when I blew a heater hose... The two lines running to my TriPac, I did not know which line blew, or where the break was under the truck as it was 0230 on the side of the road. I was able to limp home after TA brought out the 4 gallons of coolant I needed to nurse her home.
