I've been using the wix extended drain filters because it has a bypass in it.(engine doesn't have a large soot load in oil anymore) Also am using wix fuel filters. 4 micron. Am I doing ok with wix. My local parts house carries them and they actually will get the filters the 2250 calls for. I'm afraid to just pick up filters from somewhere else because I haven't found anywhere including the dealer that actually carries the right filters. Even my parts house guy had to special order fuel filters for me. He carried 10 micron fuel filters. Should I source a different filter source or I'm I doing ok. I got a Donaldson air filter from dealer I wasn't impressed with the way the pleats were spaced. Very uneven. I need a schooling on filters and quality control at these companies.
