Grease Tube Keeper - A Hack Here's a little hack. I searched the Internets all over for a canister to hold a single, opened tube of grease. For years, I've been using discarded zip tie tube for this. It keeps the inside of my outbox clean. I thought for sure there must be an inexpensive, ready-made solution but if there is, wherever it is, I couldn't find it. Next, I thought about making something out of PVC pipe. But 2 inch pipe was too small and 3 inch pipe was just too big. I think 2 1/2 inch pipe would have been great, but neither Home Depot or Lowes had it locally. Then it came to me. What about a spaghetti keeper? Well, here it is. This one came from Amazon. I paid $13.99 for a two-pack. https://amzn.to/2Z1dG0f It's a small thing, but I really like it. Just thought I'd share.

Sometime I do use grease, so I just pop the end open and squeeze the whole tube flat with my hands then use the flattened tube to spread it around, then throw it away. RE: Grease Tube Keeper - A Hack Yea, it's for 5th wheel grease. This is the old container the new one is replacing. I've never used a whole tube at once, thus the need for a container, but I'll defiantly try the gear oil out now that you've mentioned it, Rawze. Thanks.
