Stop Lamp Switch (ABS)??

Dash throws ABS warning
Park to open what the fault is and it says
Stop lamp switch
However I have brake lights turns and hazards.
Although cruise and the up idle cut out.
1. Is really the switch or something else ABS related?
2 Where is the switch located? (So far I’ve gotten in the dash T’d into
an air line). I’ve read in other places under the cab on the
drivers side.

Does your parking light on the dash come on when you pull the tractor valve?

Ive not looked. I can still drive it. I wont trip until about 2-3 miles down the road while driving. then when i stop and shut it off it clears again until next time driving.

OR can I just bypass it and put a jumper wire in the plug end?
Will it effect anything and still let me set the cruise
As of right now it seems to me thats the only thing not working is cruise or idling up.

Ok checked today, the parking light on the dash does work accordingly. I could also idle the truck up but after a while (2-3 minutes) it kicked itself off. Idled back up and each time the length it would stay on got shorter until it just wouldnt turn on again.

I've checked the brake lights with the parking brake set and while driving (with the abs warning still on) I had someone check that they worked properly.

If this is a vehicle with a cummins you can use Insite to watch the brake switch circuit to make sure its not fluttering or intermittently switching itself.

It is Cummins and I have the insite, what section of the program do i need to be in to find it?
