When you see 870, 871, 2250, and 2350 that's the generation of ECM and electronics on that ISX. For us though, it's a really easy way to talk about what generation of ISX you have or are working on.

The X series is a 2350 generation engine, but is a touch different. Which is why when you see specific details for one, it will say something like "X15 2350 X116B" on QuickServe, the datatag, or in InSite next to the Engine Serial Number.
