RE: 2014 isx vibration I have the same problem.i can only feel it 10th gear(high gear)10 speed tranny. It only does it going up hill with a load on between 1250-1350 rpm. I don't of the means or the time to chase the problem so I just let off the throttle and down shift. Hope you find the problem.

Mine only does it super bad in 10th, but has a vibration like a u joint all the time. Unless u let it idle in gear going down the road

RE: 2014 isx vibration carrier bearing is good. going to cummins tomm and going to have them mess with the timing and ecm to see if that helps

RE: 2014 isx vibration Quote:* bad fuel-to-air ratio (on a CM2350 that would be more than 32-33 lbs boost in most cases). What is your boost when it is doing it? - Pyro temps? User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.

RE: 2014 isx vibration I think youre wasting your money chasing vibrations in the drivetrain.

This injection timing is electronic on that model engine, but the valve timing of that engine is done via the "wedge kit" to the valve cam. It does have the possibility of slippage and it is a well known isx issue. (03-07-2016 )race7820000 Wrote: not sure, there is no gauge that shows boost or temps. CM2350 engines have a lot higher compression ratio than older CM871 engines do. It is very new to cummins ISX engines to have compression ratios that high. High compression ratio also makes the engine a lot more sensitive to excess boost issues and vibration can set in fast in that rpm range on them because of it. No boost & pyro gauge is fine for a company truck where the driver does not care about anything but how fast he can go, but as a truck owner, it is like driving blind. You will never know what your truck is actually doing. You can't tell if you are having a fuel mileage issue, or low/excess boost problems, or if your turbo/exhaust is overheating. Excess boost can tear an engine apart with vibration and destroy components, and it almost always happens in exactly the rpm range your describing. I am not saying that is your problem, but you cannot rule it out as a very strong possibility until you get some real measurement of boost pressure when it is happening. Someone posted this pic on the old forum a long time ago. It is what the result of some excess vibration due to boost problems. In their case though, it was bad programming.

RE: 2014 isx vibration Well, I called cummins and they said if valve timing was out it would throw a code on the newer motors but to bring it by cause it doesn't take very long to throw a wedge in and check the timing. As far as boost goes he's going to check with the guys that put it on the dyno and see what they have to say
