RE: Oil and Excess Pressure in fuel change the sensor again, only use an OEM sensor, make sure the tone wheel is not loose. if it still acts up, then check it to ensure cam has not slipped.. or was not installed in the wrong position. Is the only way to check the tone wheel is pulling the oil pan? How would I know if the cam has slipped? Headed to Cummins now to pick up a new sensor for it. Sorry I know it’s a lot of dumb questions.

RE: Oil and Excess Pressure in fuel Update: I replaced the brand new OEM Cummins crank position sensor with another brand new OEM Cummins sensor and that fix that issue thankfully. This is a gravel hauler for context. Everything was looking good and sounding good at idle. On its first break in trip I’m trying to get a small load on me, but I noticed once on the road when I get to a stop light at idle the pressure drops to 15psi. Driving at 1400-1500 rpm it is at 35 psi, and at 1700 RPM it will hang at 40psi. The low pressure scares me enough though to pull the truck over. Am I missing something? Visually everything looks good other than that. Truck sounds good but any ideas why it would be at 15psi at idle? I followed manual to shim it and put the dimes to get the pressure up a bit and running down the road it has good psi, but at idle that’s what’s bothering me.

Was the rod/main bearings certified OEM as well?. .. and the head 100% oem?. User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.
