| 2013 KW ISL9 CM2250 turbo issues Good Morning, I don't typically work on trucks, but one of my farmer customers just bought this 2013 KW with a ISL9 CM2250 from an auction from the midwest. It has already been demandated which not knowing the tuning in it sucks for diag. The issue is it would ork great at highway speeds no issue, but if you would be going through town with it at slower speeds it would lose power, start smoking and you could hear huffing through the intake. When I got to look at it, I checked and blocked EGR flow to intake still no change, at slow speeds and varying throttle the turbo would close to 100% no matter what the command was. I noticed that the truck has a fairly new turbo/actuator on it along with new EGP sensor tube but original sensor. I ran the turbo hysteria test in Insite and it passed. I replaced the EGP sensor with a known good one off my service truck to try it, the truck ran 100% better, except if you rolling along and let of the throttle quick it does what I can describe as a turbo shudder and will give a puff of black smoke. You can get right back into the throttle and the turbo acts normal. So the truck is a lot better, but the turbo shudder when letting off the throttle still concerns me. Before if you were taking off or if you let out of the throttle and back into it to go up a hill the truck would almost die and smoke like crazy, you had to roll into the throttle easy. The Code the truck had were 2387 and 3616 Thanks | |||

| RE: 2013 KW ISL9 CM2250 turbo issues sounds like the symptoms of the typical bad delete where the turbo is over-spooling to try to warm up a DPF can that is not there any more. Copy the program from the ecm ans e-mail it to me for a proper review of what someone did in there. info: https://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?...5#pid72945 User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!. | |||

I have Calterm going, but don't have the config file/s it is asking for to open the module. Any help on that side of things? Thanks | |||

It does not have to match exactly. if nothing else, maybe you can Private Message forum member 'APC' and get some guidance on where to get such things.
