Found this bad gasket at the back of the egr cooler going towards the soft crossover in the back of the engine.

How sealed is the egr supposed to be when off? I blew into the intake side going towards the exhaust, after cleaning it, and it wasn't sealed. Is there a bench test i can do in it? 3684707 is the egr number.

The ecm is AV10239.15 if that helps with anything.

Assuming you live in a foreign country...

== A THICK block plate between cylinder #1 and entrance to EGR cooler.

== A THICK block plate at intake manifold where egr pipe meets it.

== All cans gutted to the bare metal, insulation and all. Exhaust ad free-flowing as possible.

== Fuel line removed and blocked off at the IFSM for the Doser injector, as at some point in its future it will end up leaky from lack of use, and everyone blaming truck on lower then normal fuel mileage all the time.

== Any intake or exhaust butterfly valve(s) flapper removed.

Put it back together and got spn 0102 fmi 18 again, this time my freeze frame stored, spn899 engine torque mode : Torque limiting, spn 102 turbo boost pressure :18.560 psi spn 190 engine speed: 1222rpm ,spn39 engine load %: 39%, coolant temp 176°f

Maybe if you end up n the ATL area, look up Mr. Hags (Haggai automotive) and see if they can help you with it.

How much of a derate could I get if somehow my egr were to become plugged up and my egr temp sensor lost connection? I recalibrated my actuator and did a smoke test on the cac and beyond, no found leaks. Put it all back together and it got the 102 fmi 18 code, again, and was sputtering, that was new, and then after turning around and heading back I got upto 33 psi with the check engine light still on. There was also an exhaust back pressure code 1209 fmi 16 I believe but it cleared itself before the low boost code. Thanks for your knowledge and help to this struggling owner operator.

something clogged in the exhaust?...
Have you disconnected the exhaust pipe right behind the turbo and took it on a short test drive to see if boost improved?.

I have not tried that yet. When I drive it it acts like it wants to do a regen, but if I park and hit my regen rocker switch my egt temps dont go up they go down until my hot exhaust light goes off.
