RE: Cummins n14 I have only ever connected to one N14. This is what i had to do... * Enable the J1708 protocol on the Insite software. It is not J1939. * I had to find a 2-pin plug out on the engine itself and use the "weather-pack" adapter with a 3-pin to 2-pin adapter for the inline. I also had to power the inline adapter separately. I found the 2-pin connector and verified it was the right one by first checking to make sure it did not have +12 volts on it, either with the engine on or off. I did not want to short out my adapter. I also checked across the pins for about 60 -120 ohms resistance to ensure it wad a data link plug. * When i tried it, it worked and Insite saw it just like any other truck once the keyswitch in the dash was on. === Maybe someone with more experience with them will chime in too.
