Adding water to an otherwise healthy cooling system is a stop gap measure to get you off the side of the roads. I would say keep a spare of 2 of the type of coolant you use instead and if you have to add more than a gallon or so of water only,,... flush the system and replace the coolant at your next convenience to make it right again. These things ARE NOT AUTOMOBILES!-- They are WET LINER ENGINES that are very prone to liner wall cavitation and those coolant addatives and the coolant health overall is VERY VERY IMPORTANT!
