Lmao, nope! I've been warned, and have had guys I work with go that route...

Nah, I have to thank themissinglink for this one, he sent me to S & L Transmission & Repair. Great guys, old school shop. I swear they have every gear in stock by the look of their parts shelves.
I told them exactly what I do, and the kind of torque loads I place on my equipment to do my job, so don't be scared to change something because "it's close to end of spec, but ok for now", because reliability is my priority. They showed me every bearing that was in it, and even brought out a new 17th & 18th and a set of calipers and showed me the measurements of the wear in the old ones. There wasn't very much at all, but they agreed because of my application, no point trying to save a couple hundred bucks, I was already there.
They also decided to change the range selector, splitter valve, air pressure regulator, and all the hoses to ensure proper shifting...I wouldn't have expected any less, so I'm pretty confident in what I got.
