RE: Truck batteries Just some extra info for those who don't know... If you want to get technical about it, truck/car batteries like to be "shocked" once in a while to +14volts with nasty, noisy half-wave power from a cheap charger for about 10 minutes. After that, the charge dropped to a float charge voltage of 13.2 - 13.3 (13.6 max) volts. The really crappy battery chargers with noisy half-wave power output work the best because that nasty noise vibrates and cleans the plates on them better than smoothly regulated DC power does. Seems like all the chargers coming out these days have forgotten this and they really suck. Either they over-charge the batteries, or they have too clean of an output, or they have a computer board in them that complains and shuts it down and aggravates the hell out of you.
