Dag gum it. You never told me you had an EGR as an ornament on that.... Shoot, I would have an extra hair or 2 on my bald spot, instead of scratching them out.

Did you ever physically pull the 3 wires out of the loom that go from the module to the ecm? They're 3-4 feet of wire, so not that much. Pull them out and look for bulging, green, exposed copper you can also ohm them out to 0 or very few ohms because its just a short set of wires. Check the connector very closely. This curcuit losing voltage intermittently will cause exactly what you describe.
