I was thinking the same thing. Change it every 300,000 for cheap insurance.

I try to keep a few parts lying around just in case.

I did the same thing with my compressor and a few others...rotate out as needed. I'm building my own little bench stock of spares! Wheel seals, new slacks, shoes, drums, air bags, etc...

Waterloo, is that paint or a coating on the exhaust side? It looks great, whatever it is...it looks alot like some coatings I've used on exhaust manifolds in the past.
