It comes off quite easily with acetone, as it stays kinda "thick and wet" compared to the other marine sprays I mentioned that dry and harden. Waterloo used it on the crank, deck, block, cams, rockers, face gears, literally everything while his engine was apart. Nothing ever rusted.
