Ironically, shim .021" had to go in #3 hole - was marked for cyl 4 - someone doesn't know front from back of block)

So much for a relaxing weekend putting this together.

Yuck, seems like pride in workmanship was thrown out the window on that one. -- Looks like your going to need to clean that up. here is a related story ...
