RE: MX-13 CRANKCASE BREATHER REPLCEMENT (02-13-2019 )Rawze Wrote: Seriously? -- its nothing but a fancy crank case breather? -- can it be eliminated?... It is Paccar part# 1827090PE. It is sometimes called a Crankshaft Breather Module or a CCV Oil Separator. It's a little bit larger than the size of a gallon jug, has a rubber sealed intake from the block, two oil hose connections and is mounted by four bolts directly to the block. It also has a spinning gear inside of it that keep the oil moving through it. It is my understanding that this component needs replaced at 500,000 miles on these motors. I am at 515,000 miles on mine so I wanted to protect the motor by replacing it. It's definitely not an option to eliminate it's function for the motor. I will try to post a picture of it. Thanks for the reply. | |||
