If the knife edges and protrustions on both liners are ok then I would replace the head. Cummins called them head gasket shims. P/N 4025353 they were 0.002" shims placed on top the liners to correct low protrusion on one or both of a given pair of cylinders. Or all as a cheap fix. N14's had issues with fretting too... | |||
