Different method to replace spring eye bushings... Cant ignore it much longer. I need to replace my front bushings soon. My truck uses the kind with a captured pin. I could burn them out, but mine are kind of too close to the fuel tank for comfort. I could remove the bracket from the frame entirely, but they also support the cab mounts, and after I press the old ones out, I still need to be able to press in new ones... They have a captured pin, so all thread and spacers are out. Tiger tools makes a nice unit, but they are pricey. And with my springs being new, I only have two to replace...trying to avoid taking it to a shop to have this done. Anybody have an alternative method or replacing these bushings?
