On the passenger side of the engine all the way in the back by the flywheel housing the engine number will be stamped into the top of the block on a machined surface at the top of the deck where the head and block meet in dot matrix numbers.

The truck VIN is stamped there or the engine serial number is stamped there?

Chamberpains was suggesting using the truck VIN, I believe, which I don’t have for my engine
