He was planning on stretching it because he is going to run flatbed. Because of that, he was going to get a rack installed on the back of the cab. Because of the rack, he would have to run the 5th wheel all the way to the back so the trailer would not run into the rack. This would also limit his adjustments for remaining legal with weights. He wasn't going to stretch it much. 2 or 3 feet I think was all he was planning.
