Once it's out of the truck I'm going to bring it back to my shop and tear it down. I have a friend that worked for Cummins back in the 90s that's going to check it out. I don't have a machine shop or any special tools. If I can rebuild it myself I'm game to give it a go. I can't spend the next month getting it done though

I guess the alternative to that is have the whole truck towed to a different shop or 3 hours back to my place.
