RE: Overshot's Blog Imo is not a coolant leak inside the engine.....you must show boron, sodium and potassium...yes all three for a coolant in oil Mr lee you are using delo15w-40 this oil has the highest 557ppm boron count since new ...absolute highest of all ((rotela 42ppm, delvac 73)) Yes boron is in most antifreeze but is used in the oils as additive Delo has <5 ppm counts of potassium in the oil but is an additive in gear oil too, yours is not very high Delo has <5 ppm of sodium in oil already Are using gear oil???? Aluminum is found in Pistons, bearings and pumps ...so maybe your coolant pump is going downhill!!!! Dell has 3ppm aluminum already....highest And the TBN is the lowest of all big 3 oil ...only 8.86....((((delvac 11.0, rotela 10.6)) The TBN is not supposed to be left to drop more Than 1/2 of it since new before changing oil So theoretically u must change the oil sooner than 17k miles... | |||
