RE: CEL after EGR tune up (05-07-2021 )Lead_sled Wrote: Is a CEL common after an EGR tune? Everything was put exactly back in place. Does it need to be reset or should I start looking for a wire issue? Don’t know what the code is as I don’t have a laptop yet. you'll need to find out what fault code(s) your getting. No, it is not normal to get a CEL light simply by removing and replacing things while the engine is switched off. (just a wild guess in the meantime)... The most common mistake however is that people do not get the IMAP sensor plugged back in all the way, as it has to be plugged in before its put back into its hole, otherwise the connector has some interference with the manifold a bit.
