DPF Replacement 2015 Freightliner Cascadia - DD15 EV in it. Truck has 569,864 miles. Driver came back home with a check engine light and codes. We ran the truck through our local mechanic and he suggested a forced regen. After the regen was performed, the check engine remained and codes did not go away. He recommended we clean the DPF filters. We decided to get a second opinion from another shop. They came back with an expensive diagnostic. They want to replace the filters instead of cleaning them. I review Rawze's articles on EGR tune up (I was clueless that was even an option) and determine that we will do that regardless of what the dealership is saying. My question is..... assuming that replacing the DPF filters gets me back on the road, can I purchase them and replace them myself? Also, I lack the computer system and or software to reprogram the computer with the new filter parts. Any recommendations? I attached two pictures to help understand what is going on.
