Stock engine should work with stock exhaust
Example My 2500 had a hy35 which is a very small exhaust housing and I have done some mods and my egts where getting way on up there
Change the turbo done a hx35 exhaust housing (which is a bit bigger) and pulled the factory 3inch exhaust and installed aluminized 4' kit
truck will def get up on boost faster and did eliminate alot of the smoke at lower rpm
but egts are unchanged
