Update,

I was able to get insite and the inline 5 working and was able to pull data from my N14 through the j 1708 port, as a test. So I am fairly confident I have it set up correctly.

I am however not able to get into the ISX ECM. I have 12 volts at the J 1939 port on the dash and have OHMED out pins c/d and get 59.4 ohms. When I plug in the inline 5 none of the lights to red (power light) come on. I used my volt meter and have power on the serial side of the adapter that plugs into the inline 5 while it is still plugged into the 1939 connection so I feel the unit should bee getting power. It's like it does not recognize the unit at all when plugged into the 1939 connection.

It seems that the 1939 adapters is good. Is there something in the inline 5 settings you need to change to read the 1939 port?

Any ideas?
